In material, mathematics object can be form as a concrete object, cube models, square swimming pool, roof, Egypt pyramid, etc. So the material of mathematics is all around us. Mathematics object in formal is about thinking object through abstraction and idealization. Social constructivist say that mathematics is human created in some period. So mathematics is a knowledge that related with culture. Absolute people say that discovery is not yet mathematics.
The effort to study mathematics is students must to develop their procedure, for example follow the steps so they can get mathematics concept. Social interaction in mathematics learning is important to change subjective mathematics knowledge become objective mathematics knowledge. Teacher can help students to do it. Civilizing mathematics in school can begin with define math nature (Ebbutt, S and Straker A, 1995) such as mathematics activities are searching and relating, mathematics activities must be communicated, problem solving is a part of mathematics activities, algorithm is a procedure to solve mathematics problems, social interaction is needed in mathematics activity. Students need different chance, different treatment, and facilities in mathematics lesson because they are different. The role of teacher is to make conducive class, provide facilities, etc. Here, teacher as a manager. The role of teacher is as a facilitator, a learning source, and student monitoring. So teachers should use various methods such as lecture method, discussion method, workshop, etc.
Civilize mathematics to get nation excellence can be achieved with mathematics learning innovation, so teacher can challenge in mathematics learning reality. To civilize mathematics need a knowledge of mathematics dimension, mathematics as a concrete object and thinking object, mathematics communication, including material communication, formal communication, and spiritual communication.
